Product Updates: January 2026

Updated over a month ago

We have rolled out several enhancements to improve flexibility, customization, & day-to-day management across Giving Day sites & Partner Dashboards.

Here's what's new:

Donation Receipt Page in the Partner Dashboard

Partners and site admins can now customize donation receipt emails directly from the dashboard.

Where to find it:
Content & DesignDonation Receipt

What you can do:

  • Edit the donation receipt email subject line

  • Customize the email content

  • Insert dynamic merge fields (e.g., donor name, gift amount)

  • Reference helpful guidance directly on the page

This gives you more control over your donor communications—no support ticket required.

A detailed support article is coming soon!

More Flexibility for Giving Days

Assign Causes on Support Area Pages

For Giving Days that use support areas and custom causes (like Cornell), you can now assign causes directly from the Support Area Edit page—making setup and updates easier.

Custom “Fee Term” Language

You can now configure alternative language instead of the word “fees” on your donation form.
This was introduced for Amplify Austin but is available where applicable.

Custom HTML on the Matches Page

You can now add a block of custom HTML to the top of your Giving Day Matches page using the Match Copy → index_text configuration.
Perfect for additional messaging, instructions, or promotional content.

Updated Sponsor Display on Matches & Challenges

If a sponsor’s name is not public, we will no longer display “Anonymous.”
Instead, only the match or challenge name will appear for a cleaner presentation.

Partner Dashboard Improvements

Clear Cache Button Now Available

Partners can now use the Clear Cache button for their Giving Day site directly in the dashboard.

Updated P2P Fundraisers Page

We’ve refreshed the layout of the P2P Fundraisers page in the Partner Dashboard.

What’s new:

  • Two tabs:

    • Fundraisers list

    • Settings

  • Fundraiser name and email now appear in the same column for a cleaner layout

  • “Display Name” appears only when it differs from the fundraiser’s name

  • Actions (Edit, Delete, Hide from Search) are now under a three-dot menu on each row

Permissions remain the same:

  • Partners can manage Free Agent Fundraisers (FAF) only

  • Site Admins can manage both FAF and P2P

  • CSV export remains unchanged

Note: This update is unrelated to current P2P spam issues.

Add Site Admins (No Ticket Required)

You can now add a new Site Admin directly from the Admin Users page.

How it works:

  • Enter an email address

  • If the user is new, they’ll receive a password reset email

  • If the email already exists, the user is promoted to Site Admin

Important:

  • Only @bonterratech.com emails can be entered here

  • Existing @givegab.com site admins are unaffected

Spam Prevention Update

To reduce spam:

  • Certain spam-related keywords are now blocked during Business Fundraiser registration

  • Organization admin request emails now include this line:

“If [NAME] is not affiliated with your organization, please disregard this notification.”

Google Analytics Improvement

We’ve updated our GA4 “purchase” event tracking so donation amounts are now sent as numeric values (instead of text), aligning fully with Google’s documentation.

No functional changes—just improved data accuracy and compliance.

Behind-the-Scenes Improvements

  • Upgraded the Ruby on Rails framework on givegab.com

  • Removed unused code from the Intercom migration

  • Initial setup work for several 2026 Giving Day partners

These updates improve platform stability, security, and performance.
