Improve operational structure by creating and managing regional teams and assigning appropriate roles and permissions.

Updated this week

As a SuperUser in Bonzo, you have extensive capabilities to manage and organize your team. The Regions feature is specifically designed to streamline administrative oversight and improve operational structure. By utilizing Regions, SuperUsers can tailor their management practices to meet the unique needs of different segments within the organization, ensuring efficiency and adaptability. This leads to a more organized and effective operational environment.

When discussing the structure of Regions within Bonzo, it's crucial to understand the hierarchy of user roles. A SuperUser is one of three distinct seat types available in Bonzo, alongside Team Leads and Team Members. A region within Bonzo is a specific cluster of teams that is managed by a Regional SuperUser. This regional management operates under the broader supervision of a primary SuperUser, who has overarching control of the entire account. While multiple SuperUsers can exist within the system, there is only one SuperUser who serves as the account owner and the primary administrator for the entire account.

  1. To set up a region as the SuperUser and account owner, you must first create a regional SuperUser to manage the region. From your dashboard, navigate to Teams, select your SuperUser team, and click on "+Add Team Members" in the top right

It's important to understand that any team member added to your SuperUser team will automatically be assigned a SuperUser seat type. These individuals can later be designated as regional managers during the setup process.

  2. Next, go the "Regions" management section and create a new region by clicking on the button in the top right "+Add region." Specify the name and any other relevant details.

  3. Now you can assign a manager to that region by clicking on the new region you've created and selecting the tab at the top titled "Region managers."

Click on the button in the top right that says "Assign team manager." You will see a dropdown menu that lists all SuperUsers seats including the one you just created. Assign that new SuperUser to the region.

It's worth noting that you can assign multiple regional managers to a single region. For instance, if you have a corporate marketing department, you can assign a SuperUser seat to members of this team and include them in multiple regions to maintain consistency across your organizational marketing materials. To manage permissions for your regional SuperUsers, refer to the permissions section of this article.

  4. Once you've created a region and assigned a region manager, you can assign businesses to that region. Businesses can be considered branches or divisions; essentially they are regional teams within your organization. Click on the region and then click on "Assign team" in the top right corner.

You will see a dropdown of all the teams within your organization and you can select one or multiple teams to add to that region.

  5. In the regions tab you have the ability to assign Campaign Templates and Pipelines to the teams within each region. For campaigns, click on the "Campaign Templates tab and then "Assign campaign templates."

A dropdown will appear which lists all enabled campaigns that have been created at the SU level. Select the appropriate campaign and click assign. You can assign multiple campaigns to a region.

The same functionality exists for Pipelines. Click on the Pipelines tab, then "Assign pipeline," and choose the pipeline(s) you want to assign to that specific region.

  6. Finally, once regions are created you can move prospects to different regional teams. Navigate to the People tab in your SuperUser account. Filter, search, and select the contacts you'd like to move. When the Quick Action Toolbar appears at the bottom, select the stairs icon labelled "Move prospect to another team."

A dropdown will appear which lists all created teams in your organization. Select the appropriate one and click "Assign."

Regions enhance SuperUser functionality by enabling you to manage multiple teams beyond the confines of a single team structure. This allows you to impersonate regional SuperUsers, Team Leads, and Team Members, providing comprehensive control and management across various accounts. As a regional SuperUser, any campaigns, pipelines, templates, or other materials you create cascade to teams within your designated regions.

It's recommended that SuperUsers establish clear roles and permission distinctions to prevent overlap and conflicts between the main SuperUser and Regional SuperUsers.
