How to connect or purchase a custom domain in Bookipi AI Website Builder
Follow these simple steps to connect your existing domain or purchase a new one in Bookipi AI Website Builder.
Step 1: Click ‘Website’.
Click ‘Website’ in the left-hand panel of Bookipi Web app.
Step 2: Click ‘Edit’.
From your website overview, hover over your site and click ‘Edit’.
Step 3: Connect or purchase a domain.
You can connect your own domain or purchase a new one in either of these ways:
Option A: From Settings
Click ‘Settings’ (the gear icon) in the lower-left corner of the dashboard.
Then click ‘Choose a domain to connect’ to either connect an existing domain or purchase a new domain for your site.
Option B: When publishing
Click ‘Publish’ in the upper right corner of the dashboard and follow the prompts to connect or purchase a domain.
Step 4: Enter your domain name.
To purchase and register a new domain:
Enter your desired domain name into the search bar to check its availability or select from AI-generated domain suggestions, which are based on your business name.
Once you’ve found an available domain or chosen one from the suggestions, click ‘Choose’.
You’ll then be directed to the Enter owner details for your domain screen, where you'll need to provide your information to register the domain. After filling out the form, click ‘Continue’ to proceed.
If you already own a domain:
Enter your domain name into the search bar.
If the system detects that the domain is already taken (and it's yours), click ‘Connect’.
If you haven’t subscribed to the AI Website Builder Pro plan yet, you’ll be prompted to upgrade. Once you subscribe, your domain will be automatically connected, and your website will be published using your existing domain.

Q: Does the AI Website Builder Pro plan include a domain?
A: Yes. The AI Website Builder Pro plan includes a free domain, so you don’t need to pay separately for registering a new domain.
Please note that once it has been registered, it cannot be changed. Be sure to check the spelling carefully, as the registration is final and cannot be edited.
Q: I entered a domain in the search bar and saw a message saying "Unsupported domain". What does this mean?
A: If you're trying to purchase and register a new domain, this message means the domain you entered isn’t eligible for free registration under the Pro plan.
However, if it's an existing domain you already own and just want to connect it to your website, simply click ‘Connect’.
Q: Why is my domain showing a “pending” status after connecting it to your website builder?
A: Typically, the process of connecting your domain to your website takes less than a few hours to go live but can take up to 48 hours. However, if you still encounter any issues or it is not published within this timeframe, please do not hesitate to contact us.
