How to Use Linktree: A Guide for Activity Providers
If you're a children’s activity provider trying to get the word out to parents and guardians about your awesome activities, having a strong online presence is key. With the rise of social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, it has become increasingly important to provide a centralised hub for sharing important links.
This is where Linktree comes in. Linktree is a powerful tool that allows you to consolidate multiple links into one place, providing your audience with easy access to all your important content and resources. This saves you the hassle of constantly updating your Instagram bio or other social media profiles with individual links.
There is a free plan available, so you can create a user-friendly experience for your audience without spending a pound! Read on to learn how to use it.
Getting Started with Linktree:
Go to https://linktr.ee/
Create an account: Once you're on the Linktree homepage, click on the "Sign Up Free" button to create your account. You can sign up using your email address or by connecting your existing social media accounts.
Access your Linktree dashboard: After signing up, you'll be redirected to your Linktree dashboard. This is where you can manage and customise your links.
Adding Links to Your Linktree:
Click the "Add Link" button: To start adding links to your Linktree, click on the "Add Link" button. A form will appear where you can enter the details of your link.
Paste your supplier URL: In the form, paste the URL of the content you want to share (e.g., your website, Pebble’s booking page, social media profiles, etc.). Click "Add" to save the link.
Add a title: Once you've added the link, you can provide a title to describe the content or destination of the link. For example, if you want to direct users to book your classes on Pebble, you can use a title like "Book our classes on Pebble."
Customising Your Linktree:
Customise your Linktree appearance: Linktree offers various customization options to match your branding and style. You can change the background image, choose different colours, and add your logo or profile picture.
Reorder your links: On the Linktree dashboard, you can easily rearrange the order of your links by dragging and dropping them. This allows you to prioritise and highlight your most important links.
Sharing Your Linktree
Copy your Linktree URL: In the top right corner of the Linktree dashboard, click on the "Share" button. This will generate your Linktree URL. Copy this URL.
Add Linktree to your Instagram profile: Open the Instagram app on your phone, go to your profile by clicking the profile icon at the bottom right, and then tap the "Edit Profile" button. Under "Website," paste the Linktree URL you copied earlier into the field. Save your changes.
