How do I get paid via Pebble?
Our primary payment gateway is Stripe. This is a secure payment processing platform. We also have access to Klarna and PonchoPay, for childcare vouchers and tax free childcare payments. To learn more about these click here.
How do I create and link a stripe account?
To create a Stripe account you'll need to create an account here. Once that has been done, login to Pebble here > go to settings > select payments > select link payment details. You'll know your Stripe is linked once you can add an activity.
How long do payments take to arrive to my account?
We transfer the payment, with any deductions already made, from the Pebble account to your Stripe on the day the parent pays. These funds are then available to payout, less any refunds issued, after 3 working days. This is then paid out automatically from your Stripe account to your bank account according to your usual payout schedule (normally set to daily) - the time this step takes varies depending on your account status - see more information here.
When will my payout arrive?
Here’s a quick guide to when funds will land in your account based on the day the booking is made:
Booking Day | Payout Day |
Monday | Thursday |
Tuesday | Friday |
Wednesday | Monday |
Thursday | Tuesday |
Friday | Wednesday |
Saturday / Sunday | Thursday |
In short, payouts arrive on the fourth day, after three full business days have passed.
If the booking was made on a working day, that day counts as Day 1.
Please note that bank holidays can add extra processing time.
If this is your first payout
When you first start receiving payments through Stripe, the initial transfer can take up to 5 days to reach your account.
This is completely normal — Stripe adds an extra holding period at the start to make sure everything’s verified and running smoothly. Over time, payouts become much faster. Stripe doesn’t share the exact threshold publicly, but once you meet it, you’ll automatically move to quicker payout times, and Stripe will email you to confirm when that happens.
To give you a quick idea of what happens behind the scenes:
Parent pays Pebble for a class → Pebble waits for the payment to clear → Stripe holds funds for up to 5 days → Funds are released to you based on your payout schedule
What does that look like?
Once the payment appear in your stripe account, you can click on the payment to see further information.
Can I see pending payments?
Yes you can see these by going to the supplier portal and exporting your payment!
Why did you choose this method?
We received feedback that providers liked to receive the final amount, and not have fees deducted later. This gave them security of what they had in their stripe account. What we send to Stripe from Pebble is what you'll receive in your bank. It also means that we can create
