Property Managers Do Not Need to Manually Collect Income Documents
Property managers do not need to manually collect income documents from applicants. Applicants upload their income documents electronically and complete income verification directly within the BoomScreen application. Once submitted, all income verification details are available for your team to review in the applicant's BoomScreen report.
How Applicants Submit Their Income Documents
Applicants can verify their income electronically using any of the following methods — no document collection from your team is required:
Bank account connection — the applicant logs into their bank account directly through BoomScreen. Verification is completed automatically by Boom.
Payroll provider login — the applicant logs into their payroll provider (such as ADP or Gusto) directly through BoomScreen. Verification is completed automatically by Boom.
Bank statement upload — the applicant uploads their bank statement directly within BoomScreen. Verification is completed automatically by Boom.
Pay stub upload — the applicant uploads a pay stub directly within BoomScreen. Verification is completed automatically by Boom.
W-2 upload — the applicant uploads their W-2 (Wage and Tax Statement) directly within BoomScreen. Verification is completed automatically by Boom.
Offer letter upload — the applicant uploads an offer letter directly within BoomScreen. Offer letters require manual review by your team — Boom does not verify offer letters automatically, and your team will need to enter the verified income amount manually.
When Manual Review Is Required
For most income verification methods, Boom automatically verifies the documents or data the applicant submits — no manual action from your team is needed. A few exceptions include offer letters, 1099s, and benefit letters which are not automatically verified by Boom and require your team to review the document and manually enter the verified income amount.
