With BoomScreen, you can set screening criteria to populate a recommended decision for each applicant. BoomScreen offers two ways to recommend decisions.

  1. Rule-based recommendations

    1. Customizable screening rules are set for recommendations for any submitted applications that works like a funnel. First, applicants will go through the top of the funnel for recommended decline criteria/rules. If none of the criteria for recommended declines are met, then the applicant will go through the next part of the funnel for recommended approval criteria/rules. If the criteria for recommended approvals are not met, the applicant will be a recommended conditional approval. Once an application is submitted, BoomScreen has an "Explain Recommendation" feature, which clearly shows which criteria were or were not met.

  2. Score-based recommendations

    1. Customizable screening rules are set with specific weightings to determine if criteria is of low importance, medium importance, or high importance. Depending on the criteria set and the weighting of importance, the applicant will be assigned a score from 0 - 10 and be assigned a decision recommendation.
