Creating a Template

Making a template in v2 is similar to v1, except the template editor gives you a lot more creative opportunities. To start, make sure you are on Reporting page v2.

  1. Click on the templates button.

  2. From the templates section, find and click the "New template" button

  3. From here, you have a few options

    • Start from scratch with a blank template

    • Use a pre-made starter template and edit it to your liking

    • Choose a shared template. These templates are shared from your upline.

  4. Once you have chosen the template, edit it and save it.

NOTE: Use the merge tags dropdown to fill your template with mergeable variables.

From the editor, you can do things like upload and edit images and embed videos and content.

Adding a Shared Template

Shared templates are created by MRC and shared to agents for you to get a "head start" on building beautiful templates. Adding a shared template is easy. From the v2 templates page:

  1. Click "New Template".

  2. Then click "shared Template."

  3. Select and preview templates from the left side of the box.

  4. Click "Choose This Template," and then you can edit the template to add your information.

Template Language Versions

If you have the "Language preference" setting turned on in your settings page, you can make language versions of the same template. For example, let's say you are bi-lingual you work with English and Spanish-speaking clients, and you want to send a pre-AEP email out to everyone. You don't want your English version sent to your Spanish-speaking customers, so this is where you can make a translated version.

  1. Go ahead and make the email or letter template in English first and save it.

  2. Click on the newly created template and "Make new language version."

  3. This will open up the template maker, where you must choose the language for the new template.

  4. You can go ahead and draft your template in whatever language you have chosen.

That's all there is to it. Now when you send this template to a list of people the system will automatically choose the correct language version based on the preferred language indicated on their profile.
