Single Sign On - Authenticate with Google, Microsoft, or Apple

Sign into Boostlingo with a Google, Microsoft, or Apple account, and set up SSO from the user invite instead of a separate Boostlingo password.

Written by Quinn Bott

Users can sign into Boostlingo with a Google, Microsoft, or Apple account instead of a Boostlingo-native password. This lets admins manage passwords and access from their preferred platform and apply security features like 2FA through that provider.

Note: Admins can simplify onboarding by specifying a preferred SSO option for users during the initial import of new users. Contact your Account Manager for more information, as this guide does not apply to imports.

Set up authentication

  1. Invite the user into Boostlingo.

  2. When the user accepts the invite, they are taken to the registration page with buttons to choose their method: "Register with Google", "Register with Microsoft", "Register with Apple", or create a password to register with the Boostlingo native application.

Important Note: Once a user authenticates with a method, they must use that method from that point on. A user cannot switch login methods after successfully authenticating.

On the login screen, users can sign in with an email and password, or select "Sign in with Google", "Sign in with Microsoft", or "Sign in with Apple".

Google

Once "Sign in with Google" is selected on the login page, the user is redirected to Google's login page, where they can select a Google account already linked in their web browser or sign in with a different account.

Once signed in, the user is redirected to the Dashboard for their Boostlingo account. If the user had not previously signed in, they are asked to complete their profile registration.

Microsoft

Once "Sign in with Microsoft" is selected on the login page, the user is redirected to Microsoft's login page, where they can select a Microsoft account already linked in their web browser or sign in with a different account.

Once signed in, the user is redirected to the Dashboard for their Boostlingo account. If the user had not previously signed in, they are asked to complete their profile registration.

Apple

When you select "Sign in with Apple" on the login page, the user is redirected to Apple's login page. They are prompted to select an Apple account already signed in on the browser or to sign in with a different Apple ID.

Once signed in, the user is redirected to the Dashboard for their Boostlingo account. If the user had not previously signed in, they are asked to complete their profile registration.

Next steps / Getting more help

If a user can't sign in with their provider, confirm which method they first authenticated with, since it can't be changed. Then reach out to Boostlingo Support with the user's email. If you're unsure how to reach Support, contact your Account Manager.
