Checklist for troubleshooting coops (Iowa)

Written by Avery Petersen

Before submitting to Data-Support using the Coop Workflow (bookmarked) go through this checklist.

In the state of Iowa, once a sharing agreement is approved by the state, the coop for that sport will be automatically set up.

A couple of things to note.

  • Cooperative Agreements are for Varsity only so that is the only level that is setup automatically.

  • Ask the school what levels they are cooping. Varsity Only, All HS, HS & MS or MS only.

    • There is a sync feature if it is all levels beyond Varsity.

    • If it is only some and not all, each level needs to be set up individually - DO NOT USE SYNC.

  • If MS only, no cooperative agreement needs to be created, just put the coop request into data-support indicating if it is Level 5 only or level 6 too.

Check 1: See if coop is on public side. If it is there (see screen shots below), verify the levels the school wants to be included. If Varsity only, let the school know where they can find the information.

The Coop in school should not have the Program/Team (level) active for a Level they are cooping with another school for. If they do... ie Varsity and they coop with another school for Varsity, then their team needs to be removed from every event on their schedule. IF all levels (HS and MS) are cooping with another school, the Program itself should not be active.

Go to public Bound Iowa Site: gobound.com/ia

Check 2: If the Coop is not on the public page then the first step is to look on the Bound Admin page for some information before reporting to Data-Support.

From the schools admin page, click on the association associated with the sport in question.
