Who this is for: Anyone who keep stats in Hudl and want them in Bound without re-entering them by hand.
Bound can pull box score stats straight out of Hudl for any sport Hudl offers. The process is the same no matter which sport you're importing in.
Read below to learn about which sports can be imported, then follow the steps to export from Hudl and import into Bound.
Importing stats from Hudl is a research preview. It is still taking shape, so expect it to change while we build it out.
Export your stats from Hudl
In Hudl, open the game and choose Box Score.
Click the Export link in the top right corner of the screen. It may be labeled Max Preps Import.
Save the export file to your computer.

Import the file into Bound
Bound matches athletes by jersey number, not by name. If an athlete's number in Bound doesn't match the number in your Hudl file, they may not match automatically.
In Bound, go to Games and find the game you want stats for. Click the yellow (or red) box next to that game.
Click Import Stats, then choose Hudl.
On the Select Import File screen, click Upload New File and follow the prompts. Browse your system's file explorer and select the file you exported earlier.
Bound shows you the Stat Data it read from the file. Give it a quick look, then click Continue >>>.
Match your athletes on the Athlete Match screen (see below), then click Import Stats at the bottom.
Before the import finishes, Bound lines up every jersey number in the Hudl file against an athlete on your Bound roster and shows you the result on the Athlete Match screen. Each row lists the jersey number from the file, the athlete Bound matched it to, and a preview of the stats attached to that number.
Scan the list and use the Bound Athlete Name dropdown to fix any row that's blank or matched to the wrong person.
Your stats land on the game's stat page, where you can review or edit them the same way you would stats you entered by hand.
What to do if something doesn't look right
If an athlete didn't match automatically, check their jersey number on your Bound roster against the number in the Hudl file. Numbers that don't match are the most common reason a row comes up blank. You can always pick the right athlete from the Bound Athlete Name dropdown before you import.
If the stats look wrong after the import, you don't need to start over. Everything on the game's stat page can be edited by hand, the same as stats you entered yourself.
If you don't see hudl under Import Stats, Hudl import isn't turned on for that sport yet.
