Inviting Workers / Giving Access To Worker Signups

Here is a step-by-step tutorial for connecting workers so that they can be manually assigned or they can access and signup for shifts at events.

Updated over a week ago

Access to Worker Signups can be established by choosing to follow one of four different paths or a combination of them all.

  1. Access can be granted by Administrative Staff by entering the Workers information manually.

  2. Access can be granted by Administrative Staff by inviting a worker to create their Worker Dashboard.

  3. A Worker can get connected from a portal on your gobound.com public site.

  4. A Worker can get connected through a opporotunity signup link that is distributed electronically.

Option # 1: Access can be granted by Administrative Staff by entering the Workers information manually.

1. Begin by logging in, going to the Events page, and then clicking Workers on the primary taskbar on the left.

2. Click "+Manage Workers" in the top right corner, then click on "+Add Worker" in the drop down menu.

3. Enter the Worker Information including at least Name, Email Address, Phone Number and Employee Category on the New Worker Form.

NOTE: EMPLOYEE CATEGORY on the workers profile does not grant permissions but is instead an identifier to be used to denote actual employees of the organization. This is a required field.

Click "Create Worker" at the bottom of the page.

After assigning permissions the Worker is now available to be assigned to Worker Signups.

Option #2: Access can be granted by Administrative Staff by inviting a worker to create their Worker Dashboard.

1. Begin by logging in, going to the Events page, and then clicking Workers on the primary taskbar on the left.

2. Click "+Manage Workers" in the top right corner, then click on "+Send Invite" in the drop down menu.

3. Enter the email address of the Worker(s) you would like to invite. If you have multiples you can list them separated by a comma and invite them all at once.

Next click "+Add Emails"

Update the Subject and Message as desired and click "Save" at the bottom of the page.

4. Each person on the recipient list will receive and email, and in that email clicking the "Signup" button that will officially add them to your worker list, and give them access to your schools signups in their worker account (they should only have to do this one time for a school).

NOTE: The Worker MUST accept the invite to be seen on your Workers list and to have access to their Worker Dashboard. Workers can not be assigned to events until they accept their invite.

Option #3: A Worker can get connected from a portal on your gobound.com public site.

1. After creating and logging in to their Bound account a worker should search for the school they want to become a worker at.

Next they click on "School" in the horizontal taskbar and then click on "Event Workers" in the drop down menu.

This will create their worker dashboard that is connected to your school.

2. This will create their Worker Dashboard. From this page they should complete their profile or click on "Dashboard" in the gray navigation area. Clicking on Dashboard will create the connection to the school they wish to be a worker for.

After creating the connection to their school they can click on the green arrow in front of their schools name. This will take them to the list of opportunities available.

This connection also makes the worker available for administrative staff to manually assign to events.

Option #4: A Worker can get connected through an Opportunity Signup Link that is distributed electronically.

1. Begin by logging in, going to the Events page, and then clicking Workers on the primary taskbar on the left.

2. Click "+Manage Workers" in the top right corner, then click on "+Send Invite" in the drop down menu.

3. A sign up link will be provided. Copy that link and distribute electronically to potential workers.

4. When they click on the link it will create their account if they have created their Bound Account. If they do not have a Bound Account they will be prompted to create one.

This connection will also make the worker available for administrative staff to manually assign to events.
