Version 6.6 is live! This release brings meaningful upgrades that improve app speed, enhance the live session experience, and give you more creative and functional control inside your app. We’ve also fixed key bugs to ensure a smoother experience for both you and your users.

What’s New in 6.6

1. Custom Deep Links

You can now share links that take users straight to your content in the app or web version.

  • Each class, routine, challenge, or media item has its own link

  • Format: yourapp.breakthroughapps.io/[content]

  • If the app is installed, the link opens directly to that screen

  • If not, it opens in your web app

  • On desktop, it always opens in the browser

  • Special pages like checkout, gifting, and landing pages open in the browser as usual

Why this matters: This makes sharing on social media, email, or text more effective. Users land exactly where they need to be, which helps reduce drop-off and increases engagement. Link click tracking will be added to the Partner Portal soon.
👉 You can copy share links for any content from your Partner Portal.

2. In-App Live Sessions

We’ve made two important upgrades to how live sessions work in your app.

Improved RSVP and Join Flow

  • After RSVP, users now see an Add to Calendar option (Google, iCal, iCloud)

  • Clear confirmation that they’ll get a push notification before the session

  • Join button remains active throughout the class and for 90 minutes after

  • Users can rejoin live sessions if they leave or get disconnected

  • Sessions will display in AM/PM time format, based on local time

  • Users can browse multiple upcoming sessions instead of only seeing the next one

  • Recurring sessions can now overlap so users always know what’s coming up

New Native In-App Live Streaming
You can now go live directly in your app without using Zoom or third-party links.

  • Host sessions straight from your phone

  • Users join instantly inside the app with no extra steps

  • Real-time viewer count during sessions

  • A live banner appears in the app when you're streaming

  • Each account includes 1 free hour of in-app streaming per month

  • If you need more time, you can upgrade or pay as you go

Why this matters: These updates make it easier for users to attend, stay engaged, and return for future sessions. Native streaming also keeps your community fully inside your app.

👉 Schedule new sessions in the Partner Portal. Select “In-App” to stream directly, or “External Link” if you’re using Zoom or Vimeo.

3. Custom Widget Updates

Widgets are now easier to design and more consistent with your brand.

  • New default color mode pulls directly from your app’s theme

  • Image widgets now support optional overlay text

    • Add a short message, announcement, or label

    • Choose whether the text appears at the top or bottom

    • Styled to match how Daily Class and Featured Content appear

Why this matters: These updates save you time and help you create polished, on-brand visuals without needing to design each widget manually.

4. Community Code Redemption Tracking

You can now track gift coupon redemptions using a new event in your analytics tools.

  • New event: Gift_Coupon_Redeemed

  • Includes parameters for audience segmentation

  • Works with CleverTap or any connected analytics platform

Why this matters: This lets you automatically segment and nurture gifted users. You can enroll them into warm email journeys, send onboarding flows, or monitor how gift codes are performing.

🐞 Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Fixed a bug where some users saw “Not Subscribed” even when they had an active plan

  • Fixed image cropper buttons that were hard to tap, especially on small screens

  • Improved push notification reliability by refreshing Firebase tokens properly

  • Fixed an issue where some paywalled content could be accessed without a subscription

  • Reduced app load time by making Firebase API calls run in parallel
