This guide is for HR users and Line Managers.

On the rota, you have the option to create unassigned shifts, which is useful when you want to offer shifts to your employees or when you need to add shifts before assigning them to specific team members.

Creating an unassigned shift

To add an unassigned shift, head to Rota, Time & Attendance> Rota > Select your required location rota > Click on a day within the week to add an unassigned shift.

Sharing unassigned shifts

You can notify users and offer unassigned shifts, as well as updates to existing shifts, by clicking 'Share rota' in the top-right corner.

FAQs

Q: Why are there already unassigned shifts on the Rota?

A: If you have employees or individuals with future shifts added to the Rota and these users are subsequently removed, their shifts will automatically be categorised as unassigned. These shifts can then be reallocated or removed as needed.
