Reassigning a Program: Switching Between Calendar and Playlist

How to switch an existing program between Calendar and Playlist assignment types.

If you need to change how a program is assigned β€” from Calendar to Playlist, or vice versa β€” you'll clone the program first. Switching assignment types works through cloning: it keeps your original program and its athlete data intact, while the cloned version starts fresh with the new assignment type.

Bridge Tip: The cloned program starts fresh. Athlete progress from the original program will not carry over to the new version. The original program remains active until you manually remove it or it expires.


How to Clone and Reassign a Program

Step 1: Clone Your Program

  1. Navigate to your Training Library

  2. Open the program you want to reassign

  3. Click the three-dot menu in the upper right corner

  4. Select Clone from the dropdown

  5. Rename the cloned program to distinguish it from the original (e.g., "Off-Season Training β€” Playlist")

Step 2: Assign the Cloned Program

  1. From the cloned program page, click Assign Training

  2. Select the team(s) or individual athletes you want to assign the program to

Step 3: Choose Your Assignment Type

At this step, select whether to assign the program as a Calendar or Playlist program.

For Calendar Assignment:

  1. Select your training days

  2. Choose the start date

  3. Click Assign

For Playlist Assignment:

  1. Select Workout as Playlist

  2. Click Next to complete the assignment


What to Expect After Reassigning

Once the cloned program is assigned:

  • Athletes will see the newly assigned program in their app

  • Progress tracking starts fresh from zero

  • The original program remains visible to athletes until you remove it or it expires

Bridge Tip: We recommend removing the original program from the athlete's profile before or immediately after assigning the cloned version.

Note that Calendar programs remain active for 60 days after their last scheduled workout before expiring automatically.
