Coaches can assign programs to athletes that are tied directly to specific dates on the calendar or as a flexible list of workouts. In this article, we will show how both of these options appear on the athlete's side when they are completing training on their phone.

For more information on how to assign these types of programs from the web check out this article: https://intercom.help/bridgeathletic/en/articles/6150199-calendar-vs-playlist-programs-web-assignment

Calendar Programs:

Once the calendar program is assigned your athletes will be able to view their schedule on the BridgeTracker mobile app. Athletes will select a day and see what workout is assigned. For example, below the athlete has selected Today and can see their scheduled workout.

Additionally, at a quick glance athletes can see the other days workouts are scheduled for this program are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday indicated by the white dots.

Athletes can also swipe down in their app to view their whole calendar to see their attendance at a high level.

Here is a quick key of what the icons mean:

A green dot is a workout started/in progress

A red dot is a missed workout

A green checkmark is a completed workout

A white dot is a scheduled workout

It is important to note that calendar programs do expire two weeks after the last workout. The program will be removed from the athlete's calendar but all data will always remain accessible and the program can be found in the completed section of the library.

Playlist Programs:

Once a playlist program is assigned, athletes can view the list of workouts on their mobile devices by clicking on any date. The athlete will always be prompted with today's date when they first log in.

The athlete will then simply select the workout name and will then be able to choose from the list of programs.

If the program has multiple phases athletes can swipe to the next phase at any point to complete the next set of workouts. Additionally, workouts within a phase can be repeated as many times as needed.

The program will remain active and assigned to the athlete until the coach removes the program. All exercise history will always remain available.

Both Calendar and Playlist assigned programs are a great way to administer training. With this additional information on both program types, we hope you are able to use the program that fits the need of your organization and athlete the best!
