How to Screencast a Workout

The Share/Cast feature lets you generate a web link for any workout. You can display it on a TV or external screen in the gym or share it directly with athletes as a sample workout. This article walks through how to create the link and screencast it from your computer.

Bridge Tip: You cannot screencast directly from within the Bridge platform or mobile/tablet app.

How it Works

Screen casting is a two-step process:

  1. Generate a link for the workout from the web platform or tablet app. The link opens the workout in a new browser tab or window.

  2. Cast or share that link - display it on an external screen, or send it directly to athlete


Creating a Shareable Link

1. Navigate to the workout you want to cast. You can find it in the Schedule module on the program page or the athlete's page.

2. Select the workout and click Share/Cast.

3. Click Create Link. Copy the link to share or open it in a new tab.

Bridge Tip: Screencast links are valid for 7 days. After 7 days, you'll need to generate a new link for that workout.


Using the Screencast View

Once the workout is open in your browser, you have a few options for customizing the display:

  • Exercise videos - Click any video icon next to an exercise to view the videos alongside the workout. To switch videos, click a different video icon.

  • Notes - Use the toolbar at the bottom of the screen to show or hide notes.

  • Auto-Play - Enable Auto-Play to automatically advance through workout pages. Set your preferred cadence using the Settings icon in the toolbar.


Casting to an External Screen

  1. Open the workout link in your browser.

  2. Click the top-right corner of your browser and select Cast, Save, and Share.

  3. Select Cast... and choose your target screen.

Editing After Sharing

If you update a workout after the link has been shared, the link will automatically reflect your changes. If the workout is actively being cast when you make edits, the cast window will need to be refreshed to display the updates.
