How to add student grades and test scores

You can view and manage a student’s academic grades directly from their profile in BridgeU platform. This section helps counsellors track academic performance and ensure student data is up to date for university applications.

Adding a student's Grades/Scores

To get started, navigate to the Students tab and select the student whose details you want to update. Once you’re on the student profile page, click on the Grades/Scores tab. This will open a page divided into two sections: Grades and Scores.

Grades

The Grades section focuses on a student’s academic performance based on their curriculum. To edit a student’s grades, click the edit icon in the Grades section. A pop-up will appear where you can select the appropriate grading system (such as GPA, IB, or A-Levels) based on the student’s education background, or choose “Not stated / Not sure” if the information is unavailable. You can then select the grades using the grade range slider by scrolling left or right.

If the grades are not yet confirmed, you also have the option to mark them as “Not sure yet.” Once done, click Close, and your changes will be saved automatically.

Scores

The Scores section is used to record standardized test results, such as entrance exams. This helps provide a more complete academic profile for the student. You can view and manage multiple test types, including ACT and SAT.

For the ACT, scores range from 1 to 36. To update a score, click the edit icon next to ACT, enter the student’s score, and click Close. All updates are saved automatically.

If the student is not planning to take the ACT, you can select the checkbox “The student is not planning on taking the ACT” and leave that section blank.

For the SAT, scores range from 400 to 1600. To update a score, click the edit icon next to SAT, enter the student’s score in the provided field, and click Close. Changes are saved automatically.

If the student is not planning to take the SAT, you can select the checkbox “The student is not planning on taking the SAT” and leave that section blank.

Grades entered in this section are also reflected in the Analytics > Applications report and in Universities > Scattergrams.

For more information, refer to the help center article on how to Upload SAT Scores in Bulk.

Students can also add and manage their own Grades and Scores directly through their student account.
