Before you can complete a student's School Report for Common App, you will need to make sure that the School Details and School Profile are completed first.
Once you've successfully completed the School Details and School Profile, you can follow the steps below on how to complete the individual student School Report.
How to Complete a Student's School Report
Step 1: Head to Documents on the navigation menu of your BridgeU account
Step 2: Click on the student's name, or the pink Documents button next to their details
Step 3: On the student's document sending page, click on the Send Common App Forms button
Step 4: A list of documents to be sent to the Common App will appear. You can see the documents have a red line around them but are white as they are incomplete. Click on School Report to open the form and attach documents to it.
Step 5: Complete all sections in the sub-menu.
Step 6: In the Transcripts section, you are first asked how many transcripts you would like to upload to send with the School Report.
You can either choose to attach an existing transcript (if you have already uploaded transcripts for the student) or, upload a new transcript directly into the form.
Remember, the number indicated on the School Report must match the number of transcript documents uploaded.
You can indicate up to 4 transcript documents on the School Report, but you must attach a minimum of 1. You should aim to send the most recent transcript you have for the student, even if this is from a previous year of study.
Step 7: Once you have filled out the School Report, click the pink Save button. If there are any errors in the form, a message will appear explaining what is missing.
Step 8: When the School Report is completed and saved successfully, the document bubble will be filled in pink, which means it is now complete and ready to be sent. You will also see transcript bubbles to show how many transcripts have been attached.
Use the checkbox next to the document to select the School Report, then click the pink Send button
The School Report and attached documents will be sent to Common App and then released to the universities from Common App after the student has submitted their application and paid any fees, according to their One and Done Policy.
How to View and Download a Student's School Report
When the School Report has been successfully sent, the bubble will turn green, and you will see two new buttons: Unsubmit and View Submission.
If you click the View Submission button, a new tab will open in your browser, which will allow you to view a PDF file of the School Report in the exact format the university will access once they've downloaded it. You can choose to save this PDF for your records.
You can also use the Unsubmit button to retrieve the School Report if you realise you have made a mistake and would like to correct this before sending the report again. You can learn more about how to unsubmit a Common App form here.
