Overview

Ad copy generation in BrightBid is handled by Brighty, the AI assistant built into the platform. This article covers prerequisites, how to generate new ad headlines and descriptions, and tips on improving output quality.

In this article, we cover:

  • Prerequisites

  • Generate new ad headlines and descriptions

  • Improving the output

Prerequisites

Before generating ad copy, ensure the following prerequisites are met:

  1. Business description: Make sure a good business description is added under Account Settings → Account Details. This is used in prompts to describe your business.

  2. Offerings: Add the products/services you offer under Account Settings → Offerings, and connect each offering to the ad group it belongs to. The better Brighty knows your offering, the better the ad copy.

Generate New Ad Headlines and Descriptions

Follow these steps to generate ad headlines and descriptions with Brighty:

Step 1: Open Brighty

Open the Brighty chat panel (Ask Brighty) from anywhere in the platform.

Step 2: Use the Creatives prompts or ask directly

Pick a ready-made prompt from the Creatives / Ads and Ad Copy categories, or simply ask, for example:

  • "Generate 10 headlines and 4 descriptions for the ad group [name], focused on [offering/keywords]"

  • "Rewrite the ad copy for [ad group], including the keyword [keyword] in the headlines"

Step 3: Customise (optional)

  • Specify the number of headlines & descriptions, the language, and any custom search terms or instructions to get more specific suggestions.

Step 4: Review and apply

  • Review suggestions: Keep the headlines and descriptions you think are good, and ask Brighty to iterate on the rest.

  • Apply: Review AI recommendations before applying them to your Google Ads account. You can also copy the output and paste it into an existing or new ad in Google Ads.

Improving the Output

To enhance the quality of the generated ads, consider the following strategies:

1. Refine your Offerings

  • Use Clear Language: Ensure your offering descriptions are easy to understand. Avoid jargon or overly complex language unless it's relevant to the target audience.

  • Highlight Unique Selling Points: Focus on what makes your product or service stand out. The more unique and compelling the description, the better the generated ad will be.

2. Experiment with custom input

  • Vary Keywords: Test different keywords in your prompts to see how they affect the generated ads. This can help you find the most effective phrasing and focus.

  • Long-Tail Keywords: Consider using long-tail keywords to capture more specific search intents. This can lead to more tailored ad content.

3. Utilize Feedback Loops

  • Analyze Performance: Once your ads are live, monitor their performance. Use metrics like click-through rate (CTR) and conversion rate to gauge effectiveness.

Iterate: Based on performance data, refine your offerings and regenerate ads. Continuous improvement is key to maximizing ad performance.
