While it might seem reasonable to remove a guide from your Brindlechute account if they're no longer working with you, guides may be associated with multiple outfitters across the Brindlechute platform, so deleting them could impact those connections. Marking a guide inactive is the recommended approach — it preserves their records and history while removing them from your active guide pool.
Common reasons to mark a guide inactive include:
Seasonal or temporary breaks
A leave of absence
They're no longer guiding with you but may return in the future
How to mark a guide inactive
Navigate to your Guide List.
Find the guide you want to deactivate.
Locate the Active toggle in their row.
Switch the toggle off to mark the guide as inactive.
How to reactivate a guide
If a guide returns or becomes available again, you can reactivate them at any time — no new invite needed.
Navigate to your Guide List.
Click the Inactive tab.
Find the guide and switch their Active toggle back on.
