How to Add Add-Ons to a Booking

Add extras like gear, gratuity, or other optional items to a booking from the Manage Booking page, then save and confirm the update.

Add-ons let outfitters update a booking with optional extras without creating a new trip. Add-ons can be added while creating a booking or later from the booking itself.

Note: Add-ons must always be attached to an experience within a booking. An add-on cannot be invoiced on its own.

How to add add-ons to a booking

  1. Go to the Manage booking page by accessing via Trip Calendar or Bookings

  2. Click Edit in the top-right corner.

  3. In the itinerary builder, click + Add Add-On.

  4. Select the add-on to include in the booking.

The list will show the add-ons that are currently available.

  5. Click Save.

  6. When the confirmation pop-up appears, click Confirm to apply the changes.

  7. Resend the invoice to the client if needed.

  8. This is helpful if the add-on changes the total and the client needs an updated invoice.

Note: If you do not want to send update alerts or invoices to the client about these changes, simply click the X to close the pop-up.

Charging for an add-on only (no experience)

If you need to invoice a client for just an add-on — for example, lodging for a guest joining a trip that is already paid for — the booking still needs an experience attached:

  1. Add the experience to the booking, then price-override it to $0 or apply a 100% discount, with a note explaining why

  2. Attach the add-on (e.g., the lodging) at its normal price

  3. Send the invoice — the client is only charged for the add-on
