Manage waiver validity timeframes

Simplify waiver management by setting waivers to expire per trip, per year, or never—choose the right fit for your risk and rebooking flow.

Waivers are essential for protecting your business, but you get to decide how often clients need to sign them. Brindlechute makes this easy by letting you control the waiver validity period for each waiver you create.

Where to Set Waiver Validity

  1. Go to Product Settings

  2. Click Waiver

  3. Find the Validity dropdown next to each waiver

Your Waiver Validity Options

  • Use Once
Each time a client books, they’ll need to sign a new waiver—even if they’ve booked with you before. This is the safest option if your liability terms change frequently or if each trip involves new risks.

  • Calendar Year
Clients only need to sign once per calendar year. If they come back for another trip in the same year, you can reuse the waiver they already signed. This is ideal for outfitters who run seasonal trips or have lots of repeat clients.

  • Forever
Clients sign one time, and their waiver stays valid for all future trips. This minimizes admin work but is best used when your waiver terms rarely change.

Why It Matters

Choosing the right waiver validity setting helps you balance customer convenience with liability protection. Think about how often your clients return, how frequently your activities change, and whether your terms stay consistent over time.
