When Guide Priority and Assignment is turned on, Brindlechute can suggest a guide for the trip during booking creation. This guide is chosen by the system based on availability, eligibility, and guide ranking. The suggested guide can be reviewed before the booking is saved and confirmed.
How to find the AI-assisted guide assignment
Start creating a new booking.
Fill out the booking details, including the client.
In the Itinerary builder, under Trip 1, click Add experience and select the experience. The Select Dates window opens on its own once the experience is selected.
Set the number of persons, choose the trip date, then click Select.
Click Per-unit details below the experience line to expand the unit breakdown. See Understanding Per-Unit Details When Creating a Booking for the rest of what's in that table.
Each unit's Guides field will already show AI-assigned, marked with a sparkle icon.
What happens next
After saving the booking, Brindlechute will open the Confirm Assignment window.
In this window, the system-selected guide will appear as the assigned guide for the trip.
A star sparkle icon next to the guide shows that the guide was chosen by the system.
How the system chooses the guide
The suggested guide is based on:
guide eligibility
guide ranking
guide availability
This helps staff quickly review a recommended guide without assigning one manually from the start. If you're not ready to decide on a guide yet, click the unit's Guides field and click Clear to leave it Unassigned for now.
Final step
If the suggested guide looks correct, click Confirm Assignment to keep the assignment.
AI-assisted guide assignment makes it easier to move through booking creation while still giving staff a chance to review the guide before finalizing the trip. It is a helpful way to speed up assignments while following the guide rules already set in the system.
