Manage Communication Settings for a Booking

Control which emails and messages are sent for an individual booking without changing your organization-wide notification settings.

Brindlechute makes it easy to manage communication at both the organization level and the booking level.

In Notification Settings, overall client notifications can be turned on or off for the whole organization. But there may be times when a single booking needs something different. That is where Communication Settings come in.

Inside each booking, Communication Settings let an outfitter choose which communications should or should not be sent for that specific trip. This is useful when one client should not receive a certain message, such as a post-trip follow-up email asking for a review, while all other notifications remain unchanged

How to update Communication Settings for one booking

  1. Open the booking.

  2. Click the Audit trail tab at the top, beside Booking info.

  3. Select the Messages filter.

  4. Click Message settings at the top right.

  5. Review the list of available communications for that booking.

  6. Toggle off any communication that should not be sent.

What this setting does

Communication Settings apply only to the booking being viewed. This means:

  • changes affect only that one booking

  • other bookings for the same client are not affected

  • organization-wide Notification Settings stay the same

Good to know

  • All communication types can be turned off at the booking level.

  • This is useful when a specific email or message does not apply to one trip or one client.

  • Booking-level communication controls are best for one-off exceptions without changing default communication settings for everyone else.

  • The Messages filter also lists every email and text for the booking, including what is still scheduled, so you can check what has already gone out before turning anything off.
