How to Create an Apple Developer Account

For branded app publishing on the App Store

To publish your branded app, Apple requires that your organization owns the Apple Developer Account. Follow this guide to complete the process and invite us as an admin.

What You'll Need Before You Start

Company Email

Use a company domain (e.g. info@yourbusiness.com)

Apple ID

Create one using your company email

D-U-N-S Number

Unique business ID (free from Dun & Bradstreet)

Legal Entity Info

Company name, address, and phone number

Credit Card

Required to pay the $99 annual fee

Step 1: Get or Check Your D-U-N-S Number

  1. Log in with your new Apple ID

  2. Fill out your business info and click Continue

  3. You will:

    • Find your D-U-N-S number immediately if it exists.

    • Or, be contacted by Dun & Bradstreet to create one (this may take several days).

Step 2: Create an Apple ID (if you don’t already have one)

  1. Use your company email address (e.g. hello@mybusiness.com)

  2. Complete the form and follow the email verification steps.

  3. Enable two-factor authentication.

Step 3: Enroll in the Apple Developer Program

💡 Only Organization accounts are valid for branded apps.

  1. Sign in with your Apple ID

  2. Click Join the Apple Developer Program > Enroll

  3. Under Entity Type, choose Company / Organization

  4. Enter:

    • Legal entity name

    • D-U-N-S Number

    • Company phone number (Apple may call you)

Apple may call you for verification. Once done, you'll receive a confirmation email and license agreement to accept.

Step 4: Pay the $99 Developer Fee

  1. After accepting the agreement, you’ll reach the payment screen

  2. Enter your billing information

  3. Choose whether to enable auto-renew

  4. Click Purchase

You’ll receive:

  • A receipt

  • An activation email with a code and link

Step 5: Activate Your Account

  1. Open the activation email from Apple

  2. Click the link and sign in

  3. Enter the activation code and click Activate

  4. Click Get Started

Your Apple Developer Account is now active!

Step 6: Invite Us as Admin

Now that your account is active, invite our team so we can submit and manage your app:

  1. Click the blue “+” icon

  2. Fill in:

  3. Click Invite
