You can create hybrid classes, both in-studio and online. This option is available for both group activities and workshops.
Step 1: create the sessions
Complete the session creation form with the parameters you want for the in-studio session.
Turn on the toggle called "Hybrid class".
This will create 2 sessions at the same time: one in-studio and one online.
It also works when creating recurring sessions, generating duplicate sessions for all occurrences.
Note: hybrid classes are only available for activities and workshops marked as not livestreamed. Check that the "Livestream" checkbox is not selected on your activities and workshops.
Step 2: edit the online session
The online session is automatically named "{Session name} Online" and has, by default, 100 available spots.
You can change the number of available spots, the waitlist size, and the number of credits required for the online session.
However, since the online session is linked to the in-studio session, other settings such as time, date, and teacher can only be changed by editing the in-studio session.
Step 3: manage your sessions
Hybrid sessions are easily recognisable in the Back Office Calendar thanks to a specific icon and an informational tooltip that appears when hovering over them.
What has changed in the new Back Office
Hybrid classes now show a dedicated Hybrid badge: here's how it looks in the new Back Office.
Classes are now created through the 3-step Add a class flow, instead of the previous single form.
What hasn't changed
A hybrid class still creates two linked classes — one in-person and one online — and changing the teacher, time, or date of the online class still requires editing the in-person class.
