RKSV Integration with fiskaly

Everything you need to know to stay compliant with Austria's Cash Register Security Regulation (RKSV)

In Austria, every payment taken in person must be recorded by a secure, certified cash register system under the Cash Register Security Regulation (RKSV). The goal is to make sure sales data can't be altered after it has been recorded.

bsport is now fully RKSV compliant thanks to our certified partner, fiskaly. This means you can take in-studio payments directly in bsport, with no separate cash register needed.

This guide walks you through everything you need to know as a studio manager.

🔧 1. Activating RKSV

Activation takes just two steps:

  1. Add or update your VAT ID (UID number) in your Back Office

  2. Share your FinanzOnline cash register web service credentials with your Account Manager:

    • Participant ID

    • User ID

    • PIN

🔐 Important: Please never send your credentials by email or chat. Your Account Manager will send you a secure link to share them safely.

Once we've received your credentials, we automatically register your cash register with FinanzOnline. After that, everything runs on its own. No further setup is needed.

💳 2. What happens when you take an in-person payment?

Every payment you take in person at your studio is automatically signed by fiskaly.

This includes:

  • Cash payments

  • Card terminal payments

  • Till sales

Once signed, the transaction can no longer be altered, and a Signed status appears on the invoice in your Back Office.

💡 If the signing service is briefly unavailable, the sale still goes through as normal. The receipt is signed automatically as soon as the service is back, so your customers are never kept waiting at the desk.

🧾 3. What appears on your receipt?

Each signed payment receipt includes the legally required signature block:

  • Receipt number

  • Cash register ID

  • Time of signing

  • Breakdown by tax rate

  • A QR code for tax inspections

🚶 4. Selling to walk-in customers

For anonymous counter sales, we recommend creating a single member called Walk-in Customer, with no email address, and using it for all walk-in purchases.

💡 This keeps your member list tidy while making sure every in-person sale is still signed correctly.

📌 Frequently Asked Questions

Are online payments signed too?
→ No. Online payments and automatic subscription charges are not signed. This is expected: RKSV only applies to payments taken in person.

What if a customer pays in several instalments?
→ Each payment receives its own signed receipt. For example, a customer who pays in two instalments receives two signed receipts.

How are refunds handled?
→ Nothing is ever deleted. A cancellation creates a separate cancellation (Storno) receipt with negative amounts, linked to the original receipt.

How are vouchers and account credit signed?
→ They're signed at 0% when sold, then at the actual tax rate when they're spent.
