There is a difference between activities and workshops regarding the display of the calendar on your website.
To include the calendar on your website, follow this article : https://intercom.help/bsport-helpcenter/en/articles/4107546
1st Step : Create a workshop.
In My Studio > Workshops > Add a workshop.
Fill in the form :
Add a picture.
Add a title.
Enter a category. This tab is important for the choice of the category to set up the pass. The category is invisible for members.
Choose if the workshop is in live streaming class or not. Ticking this will allow you to add visioconference links.
Add a color.
Add a description.
Define a closing booking time : bookings are available until a certain time before class.
Define a late cancellation time : cancellations are authorized for a certain time before class.
Define a booking opening time : the calendar is open from this period on to book the class.
Define the restrictions, if necessary.
Then you can create sessions : https://intercom.help/bsport-helpcenter/en/articles/3271716
Now you can associate activities and passes. Warning : if a pass already exists, skip this step.
2nd Step : Follow your workshops.
By clicking on a workshop, you can modify all these elements, add sessions and see all compatible passes.
🆕 New Back Office: Create a workshop
In the new Back Office, you create workshops from Services. Group classes and workshops are both managed there — check the Type column to tell them apart.
1st Step: Start a new class
Go to Services > Classes (the default tab), then select Create class.
2nd Step: Class setup
Choose Workshop as the type. Add a name, category, description, cover image, and colour tag.
💡 Category is only used to organise your passes — clients don't see it.
3rd Step: Booking rules
Set the booking opening window, closing window, and late cancellation window. Set restrictions if needed. Turn on auto-cancel if you want workshops with no bookings to cancel automatically.
Select Create.
What hasn't changed
Associating passes with your workshop works the same way it always has.
Workshops display differently from group classes on your website's calendar widget. If you use one, see Integrate a Calendar widget on your website.
Once saved, schedule your workshop on the calendar — see Create, edit, cancel or delete your sessions.
Common questions
What's the difference between workshops and group classes?
Group classes are classes with multiple participants that display in the weekly schedule on your website or app. Workshops are events highlighted separately, which can be one-off, recurring, or part of a series.
What happens when I turn on auto-cancel?
The workshop cancels automatically once it drops below the booking threshold you set — for example, one booking or fewer, six hours before the start. Credits are refunded automatically, and an email goes to the workshop's teacher, the client, and any Owner or Admin accounts.
Can I change a class's type after creating it?
No — you can't change the type after a class is created. You'll need to create a new class from the Classes tab on the Services page.
