<aside> 📳 LOGO SPECIFICATIONS
The most important specifications the client should follow about the logo are:
The logo should be in square format (for example: 512px x 512px)
The logo must have a good resolution, that is, the image must be clear, not pixelated.
Important: on Google Playstore we have some complaints of clients because the logo is a square with a color in the background - if the logo is square, it gets these white edges:
So the possible solutions for now that we've been given to the clients who want this is to produce a logo:
1- with a transparent or white background; or
2- with a circle logo; or
3- with a "square with rounded corners"
like this:
ℹ️ Logo specifications for the Stores :
Google Playstore
According to the Google Play icon design specifications, the icon for the app should have the these characteristics:
Size: 512px x 512px
Format: 32-bit PNG
Color Space: sRGB
Max File Size: 1024KB
Shape: Full Square
—> for this, our internal system already adjusts automatically for us
Google Play will automatically apply rounded corners and drop shadows to your icon, so I don’t need to add them myself. But we should also avoid badges and text on the icon, as they may not scale well.
Apple Store
According to the App Store icon sizes guide, the icon for the app should have the following characteristics:
Size: 1024px x 1024px
Format: PNG
Color Space: sRGB
Shape: Square with rounded corners
—> but this, our internal system already adjusts and send automatically for Apple Store
App Store will also automatically apply rounded corners to your icon, so we don’t need to add them. But we should also avoid transparency and gloss effects on the icon, as they may not render well.
