To print labels and barcodes for your webshop items, first set up your DYMO LabelWriter 550. You’ll need a computer running Windows 10 or later or macOS 14 or later.
💡 Install the software before you connect the printer, so your computer recognises it straight away.
Step 1: Install DYMO Connect
Go to the DYMO download page.
Under DYMO Connect for Desktop, download the Windows or macOS version.
Open the file and follow the on-screen instructions.
Step 2: Connect your LabelWriter
Plug in the power cable and connect the LabelWriter to your computer with the USB cable.
Turn on the LabelWriter.
Step 3: Load your labels
Open the top cover and place the label roll on the spool.
Feed the first label into the slot until the printer pulls it in, then close the cover.
💡 Use genuine DYMO labels. The LabelWriter 550 recognises them automatically.
Step 4: Check the printer is ready
Open DYMO Connect, check that your LabelWriter is selected, and print a test label.
