Why is Sitters.co.uk joining Bubble?
Sitters.co.uk has joined Bubble to bring together two trusted childcare platforms into one larger network. This allows us to offer sitters access to more families, more bookings, and an improved overall experience.
What does this mean for Sitters.co.uk?
Sitters.co.uk is now part of Bubble. Over time, activity will move onto the Bubble platform so that sitters and families can benefit from a single, larger network.
Will Sitters.co.uk still exist?
We’ll be transitioning activity to Bubble, where future bookings will take place. We’ll keep you updated throughout the process to make this as smooth as possible.
Getting started
How do I register with Bubble?
On your homepage on the Sitters.co.uk app, you’ll see a message about Bubble and the transition. If you follow the instructions, you can give consent to share your data and your profile information will be transferred over seamlessly. The process only takes a few minutes.
When should I register by?
We recommend registering as soon as possible to avoid missing out on booking opportunities.
Your account & bookings
Do I need to do anything?
Yes — to continue receiving booking requests, you’ll need to register your details with us. We recommend ensuring you’re signed up before the 3rd of August, as this is when parents you’ve sat for will begin moving across to us.
What happens if I don’t register?
If you don’t register with us, you won’t receive new booking requests once activity moves across.
Will my Sitters.co.uk profile be transferred automatically?
As long as you transition via the in-app flow, where you consent to share your data with us, all your information will be transferred seamlessly.
What happens to my existing bookings?
Any existing confirmed bookings will continue as planned on the Sitters platform. Any new bookings, confirmed after the 3rd of August will take place on Bubble.

What if I need help during the transition?
Support will be available throughout the transition. If you have questions about existing bookings, you can contact sitters.co.uk support. If you have any questions about Bubble or need help getting set up with your new account, you can contact support@joinbubble.com and we’ll guide you through the process.
Trust & Safety
Can I continue working without joining Bubble?
Only existing confirmed bookings will continue on Sitters.co.uk. Any new bookings posted by parents you’ve sat for before will take place on Bubble.
What happens if I don’t want to move to Bubble?
If you decide you don’t want to do bookings with us, that’s totally up to you. However, parents won’t be able to send you new booking requests and you’ll miss out on getting access to a large network of families looking for your help!
Earnings & terms
Will my pay rates change?
Your rate will remain the same, as we will bring over as much of your profile information as possible. Of course, if you choose to update your rate once you’re all signed up on Bubble, that’s up to you!
Are Bubble’s fees different?

How and when do I get paid on Bubble?
You get paid within 72 working hours after a parent pays for the booking, directly to your bank account details that you submit to us.
Profile & data
Will my profile, references, reviews and booking history transfer?
We will bring over as much of your profile information as possible — there may be a delay in bringing all your booking history information over, but the goal is to have as much history as possible.
Do I need to redo background checks?
We will perform our own background checks, though if you have a DBS, you can upload it for verification on our side.
Existing relationships
Can I still work with families I already know?
If families from Sitters sign up with us, you’ll be automatically connected to them. Any bookings you do together with us will have no platform fees for you.
What happens if a family I work with on Sitters.co.uk doesn’t join Bubble?
They won’t be able to book you on Sitters.co.uk moving forward, so we’d recommend asking them to sign up with us to continue being able to offer them help.
Platform differences
How is Bubble different from Sitters.co.uk?
On both Bubble and Sitters.co.uk, sitters can find childcare work, build relationships with parents, and set their own rate and availability. We have a dedicated sitter app, designed to give sitters as much flexibility and control over their work as they need to. We do have a platform fee system in place for sitters, which you can read about here: https://joinbubble.com/platform-fee-structure.
Is there an app I need to download?
You’ll need to download the Bubble for Sitters app, available on both iOS and Android.
How do bookings work on Bubble?
Very similarly to on Sitters.co.uk, parents can send out requests in their area to available sitters. Sitters then apply, the parent sees their profiles, then they pick someone for their booking. The booking is timed in the app automatically, and once either you or the parent end the sit, the parent sees the breakdown before paying. You then get paid through to your bank account directly.
Timing & logistics
When will bookings fully move to Bubble?
We will endeavour to bring over as much of your profile, including your booking history, after you transition to us. This may take some time, given the technical processes required. Any already-confirmed bookings on the Sitters.co.uk platform will still take place here.
Is there a deadline to register?
There is no deadline, but you should do your best to get registered before the end of July, so that any parents who move over to us can still find you and book you.

Who will support me going forward — Sitters or Bubble?

Will I still have the same level of support?
