How to send a reminder to parents on Bubble

Updated yesterday

With our reminder feature, sitters can send parents one polite reminder if they haven't responded to their application within a certain amount of time.

To send a reminder:

  • After you've applied for a request, you'll see a new button saying 'send reminder'.

  • If you tap on the button, it'll open a pop-up where you can send a polite reminder to a parent, to check the status of your application.

Here are some tips for sending a reminder:

  • Be patient and polite: we know uncertainty can be frustrating, but friendliness goes a long way in making a great first impression.

  • Be open and honest: it's okay to say that you have other potential jobs, so don't be afraid to be direct.

  • Read back your message before you send it: you're only able to send parents one reminder, so be sure to include everything you want to say.

If you're still a bit unsure what to say, here are some ideas to help you out:

  • "Hi there, I was wondering if you have had a look at my profile yet? I've had a couple of requests from other parents so it would be great to know if you're still looking for a sitter. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have."

  • "Hey, I'm not sure if you saw, but I applied to your job a few days ago. I wanted to check if you had a chance to look through my profile? I'm happy to answer any questions you may have πŸ˜€"

  • "Hello. Hope you are well! I applied to your sit but haven't heard anything back yet. Are you still looking for a sitter as I'd be really keen to help out? I'm happy to answer any questions you may have πŸ˜€ "
