Hours Report By Location/Department/Position Report

The Hours Report By option allows you to specify which location, department or position you'd like to report on.

Overview: The Hours Report by Location, Department, or Position reports allows you to run time on a specific Location, Department, or Position code. These reports are particularly useful for job costing. No detailed punch information is shown on this report, just the number of hours worked under each code and over the specified timeframe.

Important! Position codes are only available with scheduling. More information on the Scheduling Add-on can be found here.

Export options include:

  • CSV

  • Excel

  • PDF

  • Print

Instructions:


Run the Hours Report by Location

1. Start by clicking Reports in the top navigation, followed by Hours Report By --> Location:

2. You can then specify:

  • How to group data

  • Which employees to include

  • Which location codes to include

  • Which time off to include (if enabled)

  • The Start/End Dates

After you've selected the necessary data, click Submit:

3. Once the data populates, you can then export via CSV, Excel, PDF, or Print:

FAQ

Q: On the Hours Report by Location, Department, or Position reports, why is time off separate from the rest of the hours?

A: Time off is not associated with a specific location, department, or position. As a result, time off will not be associated with hours under those categories.

Q: Why don't I see estimated pay on the report?

A: If you don't see estimated pay on the report, then you don't have pay rates set up. Please reference the following article on how to set up pay rates: How to Add Hourly Pay Rates

Q: Why don't I see the Hours Report by Position code option?
