User Groups

The following groups are system-based:

*note: these cannot be edited. Please create a new custom group to customize

  • Project Admin full access to projects they are assigned to

  • System Admin full access to all projects and settings, regardless if they are assigned or not to a project

  • Account Admin all of the above plus the ability to manage their BuildTools subscription

  • Company Rep, Client, and Project User can only see those projects to which they are assigned (part of the Directory), and have limited access to modules within those projects

Finding and Creating User Groups

Go to System Settings---->Click Permissions

You'll see all system and custom groups

The grayed-out groups are system-based and cannot be edited, but you can edit any other groups + add new custom groups

Double click a group to edit

Or click the + button to create a new custom group

Assigning users to groups

Now in Contacts you can swap out groups as needed. Open a contact and pick from system and custom groups

*note: only groups tailored for that type of user will be shown
