Setting up document access

First, we'll take a look at how you can set permission while you are creating folders and setting up your document directory. Keep in mind that you can access documents on a project by project basis or you can access all your docs at once in our All Projects mode. In this article, we'll be in a single project view. The first step will be to either create a new folder or use an existing folder. When you hover over the folder, you'll see some action icons appear on the right-hand side of the screen.

Click the lock icon and the document permissions pop-up will open.

From here you can place a checkmark by the user groups you want to have access to the documents you save in that in that folder. See an example of how this looks below.

If you do not want to allow, access to a particular user group leave the checkbox empty as seen below.

The last step is to click on save. You've now successfully updated your document file permissions.

Quick Tips

Quick Tip: You can use the client and sub icons to quickly grant access to documents and it also allows you to see at first glance if they have access or not.

Quick Tip: By default new photos will have their permissions set to allow client access, this is not the case for new documents

Quick Tip: You can use the Overwrite checkbox to set your permissions to all subfolders and files within the folder you're adjusting permissions for
