Introduction
Bukku allows you to accept online payments directly from your invoices by integrating with supported payment gateways. Once enabled, your customers can pay instantly via a “Pay Now” button, and payments will be automatically recorded in your account.
Getting Started
Before setting up in Bukku, you will first need to apply and subscribe to a supported payment gateway provider. Bukku is currently integrated with:
Payex
iPay88
Stripe

Payment Gateways Supported by Bukku
Enabling Payment Gateway in Bukku
Once you have an active account with your payment gateway provider, you can proceed to enable it in Bukku.
Navigate to: Control Panel > Company Setting > Payment Gateway
Then toggle on the 'Enable'.
After enabling it, you will be able to configure the required details.
Payment Gateway Configuration
Each payment gateway provider requires slightly different setup fields and credentials.
Service Provider
Select your payment gateway provider (e.g. Payex, iPay88, Stripe).
Required Credentials by Provider
Payex:
Username
Secret
Use your Payex merchant email as the Username, and retrieve your Secret from Payex portal → Settings.
iPay88:
Merchant Code
Merchant Key
These credentials are provided by iPay88. Please contact iPay88 support to obtain them.
Stripe:
Secret Key
To get this, log in to your Stripe Dashboard → Developers → API Keys.
Deposit Account & Payment Method
Select the deposit account where incoming payments will be temporarily recorded before settlement. This is the holding account for funds received via the payment gateway before they are transferred to your bank account (e.g. Undeposited Funds account).
Choose the payment method that will be automatically used when payment records are created automatically (e.g. Payment Gateway method).
Note: You can select and enable specific payment types for Payex.
Track Fee & Fee Account
Enable Track Fee if you want Bukku to automatically record transaction fees charged by the payment gateway. Record the fee associated with the payments automatically.
Select the Fee Account to record these charges. The expense or cost of sales account for the fee (e.g. Transaction Fees account).
Note: Track Fee is not available for iPay88.
Track Settlement & Settlement Account
Enable this to automatically record settlement transfers when funds are deposited into your bank account.
Select the bank account where the settled funds will be recorded.
Settlement records will be automatically created under Bank > Transfer.
Note: Track Settlement is not available for iPay88.

Q1: Can customers pay invoices online directly from Bukku?
Yes. Once a payment gateway is enabled in Bukku, you can send invoices with a “Pay Now” button via email / link, allowing customers to make online payments directly from the invoice.
Bukku currently supports the following payment gateways: Payex, iPay88, and Stripe.
Before using this feature, you will need to register and activate an account with your selected payment gateway provider. After that, enable it in Bukku under:
Control Panel > Company Setting > Payment Gateway
How it works
Create and send the invoice with QuickShare via Email or Link from Bukku
If payment gateway is enabled, a “Pay Now” button will appear in the invoice
Customer clicks the button and completes the online payment
Once payment is successful:
An official receipt is automatically generated to customer
The invoice is automatically marked as paid (knocked off)
Payment and receipt records are automatically created in Bukku
This provides a smooth and seamless payment experience for both you and your customers.
Q2: How do I show or hide the Payment Gateway QR code on invoices?
You can toggle the QR code display in your form design settings.
Go to Control Panel > Form Design, then click View on your form design. Toggle on/off the “Payment Gateway QR Code” option to show or hide the QR code on invoices.
This QR code allows customers to make payment via your connected payment gateway.
Note: You must first enable a payment gateway under Control Panel > Company Settings for the QR code to appear.
