Each document in Bukku has a unique number format assigned to it.

By default, Bukku sets a number format for each transaction you create.

Below is the default number formats for part of the documents set by Bukku.

Scenario:

You want to change the Quotation's number format to QUO-2023/01

To change the number format into your preferred format, follow the steps below:

1. Go to Control Panel > Company Settings > Number Formats.

Notes: Here, you can quick create & add new number format and set it as default, for each document easily.

2. Click on the drop-down button as below:

3. Next, click on the +Add Number Format

4. Then, enter the desired format following the placeholders below, to set your preferred number format:

  • [YYYY] for the year, e.g.: 2023

  • [YY] for the last two digits of the year, e.g.: 23

  • [MM]for the month, e.g.: 05

  • [DD] for the day of the month, e.g.: 25th

For QUO-2023/01, you need to enter the format as QUO - [YYYY]/[2DIGIT]

Click Save to create the new number format.

5. The Quotation's number format is now changed to QUO - [YYYY]/[2DIGIT]

Click on Save and you are done.

Once you have saved the new format for Quotation, the new default number format (QUO - [YYYY]/[2DIGIT]) will be used.

Notes:

You can also go to Control Panel > Number Formats to add / amend / delete the number formats for each document.
