Introduction

In this article, we'll walk you through preparing your contact list in Bukku for MyInvois purpose. Discover new features and functions designed to simplify the process of making your contacts as MyInvois Ready.

Let's dive into how these tools can assist you!

Filtering MyInvois Ready Contacts

  • You can find the contacts that are not MyInvois Ready and update their profiles.

  • Click on 'More Filters' to expand the advanced filter.

  • Use 'Yes' or 'No' to sort your contacts based on their MyInvois Ready status.

Getting Your Contact as MyInvois Ready

  • Let see what are information required for MyInvois for your contacts.

  • The fields with a green checkmark icon indicate that the information is ready for MyInvois.

Legal Name

The contact's legal name registered with the local authorities.

Registration Type & No.

The registration number or identification number of the contact depends on the type of entity, whether it is a company or an individual.

Use the latest registration number here if you are given multiple numbers like new and old numbers for company.

TIN

The contact's tax identification number (Malaysia only).

Contact No.

The contact's phone number.

Default Billing Address

A Default Billing Address is required for MyInvois. Fill in the following required information:

  • Street Address

  • City

  • State

  • Country

  • Postcode *(Not required for MyInvois, but recommended to fill in)

After filling in the required information, and check 'Default Billing'.

  • Some examples for reference:

    • Example A: Customer is a Malaysian Company.

      • Legal Name : Alphabet Sdn Bhd

      • Registration Type & No. : BRN 202301010101

      • TIN Number : C12312312345

    • Example B: Customer is a Malaysian Individual.

      • Legal Name : Andrew Tan

      • Registration Type & No. : NRIC 900128105101

      • TIN Number : IG56003500070


  • In addition, there is new field called 'Entity Type' under section of Basic Information in your contact details.

  • The TIN and Registration Number are not required for certain group of people. System will populate these numbers automatically during MyInvois submission (Malaysia only).

  • If the type of 'Malaysian Company' is selected, both TIN and Registration Type & No. are required.

  • If the type of 'Malaysian Individual' is selected, provide either TIN or NRIC Number, or both TIN and NRIC Number.

  • If the type of 'Foreign Contact' or 'Exempted Person' is selected, both TIN and Registration No. & Type become optional fields.

  • If any entity type (except Malaysian Company) is selected, system will populate the TIN number automatically during MyInvois submission if the TIN number is not provided.


  • After filling in the required information, you will see this green checkmark icon on your contact, indicating that your contact is now MyInvois Ready.

  • In the Contact listing, the indicator beside your contact's name will change from a yellow alert icon to a green checkmark icon too.

Batch Update Contacts

  • A new feature is implemented that allow you effortlessly batch update your contacts all at once, saving you the hassle of updating them one by one.

  • Navigate to Contacts > Click on the (...) besides +New > Batch Update.

  • You will see a table where you can update all of your existing contacts.

  • When any amendment or update is made to a field, the field will be highlighted in green.

  • After making your updates, click the Save button in the bottom right corner.

Request Data for MyInvois Purpose

  • Alternatively, you can request your contacts to provide the necessary information for MyInvois purpose directly via email using Bukku. Let's see the steps below.

  • Step 1: Navigate to your contact, click on the (...) icon, and select "Request Data (MyInvois)".

  • Step 2: Enter or verify the email address in the "Email To" field, then click "Send."

  • Step 3: Your contact will receive the request from you in their mailbox.

  • Step 4: When your contact opens the email, it will display as follows.

  • Step 5: In the email, your contact should click on the 'Update Tax Information' button. This will direct them to a page where they can fill in the required information.

  • Step 6: After completing all required details and clicking "Submit," they will receive an acknowledgment message requesting them to provide their Name and Email Address. This helps our users identify who updated the contact information via request data form in the audit log of the contact.

  • Step 7: After filling out the details and clicking "Submit," they will receive a pop-up message confirming their submission.

  • Step 8: Finally, you will notice that your contact's information has been updated immediately in your Bukku account.


  • You also have the option to send the bulk email requesting MyInvois information to all your contacts, prompting them to complete their details.
