To elevate our platform security and make login traffic more transparent, we have completed the development of the Failed Login Attempts reporting infrastructure. All unsuccessful login attempts on the platform are now recorded in real-time.
🛠️ What Have We Accomplished?
1. Created the New Report Page
We have added a new tracking screen titled "Failed Login Attempts" under the Reports > Platform directory. This allows all access errors to be monitored from a single central hub.
2. Established Detailed Logging and Column Structure
We have integrated columns containing Username, User Email, and second-precision Failed Login Attempt Time for every failed attempt into the report.
3. Completed Advanced Filtering and Export Features
We have launched filtering tools that allow queries by specific users, email addresses, or custom date ranges.
To streamline analysis processes, we have enabled the ability to download all this data as a CSV file with a single click.
4. Finalized Comprehensive Testing Processes
From login attempts by non-existent users to timezone accuracy, we have tested all scenarios to ensure data drops into the reports instantly and accurately.
💡 What Does This Development Project?
Security Analysis: It projects an early detection of suspicious login attempts and potential brute-force attacks.
User Support: It aims to provide faster support to users who have forgotten their passwords or are experiencing login issues by utilizing system logs.
Auditability: It ensures the creation of a full audit trail by reporting platform access security with second-level precision.
Data-Driven Decision Making: It enables the optimization of login processes by analyzing which users or timeframes experience the most errors.
