Approve expense reports on your phone

Here's how you can view, approve, and send back expense reports directly from your mobile phone.

You can approve and send back expense reports assigned to you for approval on your mobile phone.

To access Expense Management on your mobile phone, select View expenses in the Capital One app.

View expense reports of your employees

By default, you’ll see incomplete and complete expenses on Your expenses. Select the menu to go to Your team’s expense reports.

View and approve expense reports

On Your team’s expense reports, you can view all the expense reports assigned to you for approval. Select the report to view more details–like the date the report was submitted, additional approvers, comments and the expenses in the report. You can approve the expense report by selecting Approve.

You can also bulk approve expense reports. On Your team’s expense reports, use the checkboxes to select expense reports. Then, select Approve to approve the selected expense reports.

You can select the expense reports to approve them directly. Select Approve to approve the expense reports.

Send back expense reports

You can send back an expense report to the spender if any changes should be made to the report. Select the report, then select Send back to spender.

In the Send report back pop-up, enter the reason for sending the report back. This reason is shared with spenders and allows them to make the appropriate corrections. Select Send back to confirm.

Spenders can view the reason in the report comments to make the necessary changes, then resubmit the expense report for approval.
