CyMetric is designed to maximize resources within an organization and assign responsibility/accountability for various aspects of a compliance program. Caetra.io places no limit to the number of resources able to access and utilize the platform. Organizations can leverage both internal and external resources to support their respective compliance programs. The first step in optimizing CyMetric is inviting people to participate in its use or define personnel or resources that will be a part of the compliance program. These resources can be internal or external resources.

CyMetric defines two distinct types of roles within the system: Users and Contacts.

Users are individuals who have been invited and have access to CyMetric. Each User has its own login credential enabling access to CyMetric. Users enter data and perform functions within the CyMetric platform.

Contacts are individuals who do not have access to CyMetric but can be assigned responsibility for certain aspects of the compliance program. CyMetric provides the flexibility to define Users or Contacts as individuals, departments or roles/titles depending upon how an organization chooses to assign responsibility.

ROLES, TITLES or GROUPS: For certain functions within your program where you would prefer to use Titles, Roles, Groups, Committees, Departments or even third-party vendors in place of individual names (Users/Contacts), you will use this People function to create those entities. These entities will be set up as Contacts in CyMetric. For detailed instructions on how to set that up please see Users and Contacts: Using Titles or Roles in Place of Names.

One of the key values of CyMetric is the ability to collaborate with members of your organization on managing and maintaining your compliance program. CyMetric allows you to enter names of teammates that may have responsibilities within the context of your compliance program. Some of these people will be active users of CyMetric while others are people that may not use the system but have some level of responsibility for an information system or department that will be documented in your policy files.

GETTING STARTED: Click on the People module from the CyMetric navigation area on the left side of screen. To enter a person into CyMetric, click on the three-dot ellipsis icon in the top right corner of the People landing page. Enter the appropriate information and click on the Submit button. To invite a person to be a User of CyMetric, slide the Send CyMetric account invitation to the ON position. Upon completion, their names will still appear in the Contacts listing but will have an INVITED designation next to their names. Upon successful completion of the User set up, the Contact is converted to a User and will then appear in the User list.

If you do not want the person to be a user of CyMetric but a Contact, keep the slide icon in the OFF position. They will not be sent an invitation to use the product. Their names WILL appear in various dialog boxes throughout the application and can be assigned accountability for compliance functions.
