How to Import Data into Your Account
Importing data into your account is a quick and easy way to add new information to your database. This article will guide you through the process of importing data into your account.
Step 1: Access the Import Data Page
To begin, click on the Data tab at the top of your account dashboard. Then, select the option for Import Data from the drop-down menu.
Step 2: Upload Your Data File
Once you are on the Import Data page, click on the button labeled "Upload Tags". Before uploading your file, make sure it is in the correct format. The file should have two columns - one for either rnc_regID or statevoterID, and one for the tag name (what you wish the list to be called in your account).
If you are unsure of the correct format, you can click on the option to download a sample file. This file will show you the correct layout for your data.
When you are ready to upload your file, either drag and drop it into the designated box or click in the box to load it from your computer.
Step 3: Map Your Data Columns
Once your file is loaded in, you will need to map the columns from the CSV to the columns in your account. This ensures that the data is imported correctly.
For example, if your file has a column for rnc_regID, you will need to map it to the corresponding column in your account. The same goes for statevoterID and tagname.
Step 4: Save and Confirm
After you have correctly mapped your data columns, click on the save button. You will then be prompted to type in "confirm" to successfully load your data.
*Please be aware that the URL/website shown in our demonstration videos is for demonstration purposes only and will not be the website that you will login to. Each campaign/state party has their own unique URL to login. If you do not know your campaign's unique login URL please contact a staffer or admin with your campaign.
Step 5: Monitor Your Import Progress
You can check the progress of your import on the Import Data page. Here, you will see a status update and the estimated length of time for the import to complete.
Once the import is finished, your new data will be added to your account and you can begin using it for your campaigns and outreach efforts.
