How to Make Calls with Pulsar

Once you’re logged in to Pulsar App, you will see your home screen. To begin making calls, click on the phonelist button on the bottom of the screen.

Next, you will be instructed to select a list to call off of. Once you have selected a list, you will be taken to the call screen. On the call screen, click on the gear icon in the upper right corner to set up your phone configuration settings. Here, you can choose your Hold Music and Audio Channel (Normal, Speaker, or Bluetooth). Once you have set up your phone configurations, return to the call screen and press “Dial”.

The Pulsar system will begin dialing, and when a voter answers, you will see the voter profile and your phone dispositions. Choose the appropriate disposition and when your call has been completed, you will return to the call queue screen and click “Dial” again.

For Power Dialer lists, when you click “Dial”, you will see a call queue of 2 to 5 calls. This will show you the voters who went to voicemail and who you’re connected to. When you’re connected to a live voter, press “Survey” to begin the survey and the script will appear. Sometimes the voicemail recognition software mistakes the voicemail inbox for a person. If you are connected to a voicemail, wait for the beep and click “VM”. If you hear the number invalid message, click the “Bad Number” button.

When you have completed the call queue, click “Dial” to begin the next round of 2 to 5 calls, based on the settings of your campaign.

Thank you for using Pulsar for your calling needs.

Please note you can also make calls off of the computer on the campaign sidekick url designated for your campaign (example if you are calling on the Florida campaign on the app go to florida.campaignsidekick.vote on your laptop).
