How to Add and Edit AI-Generated Feedback in Poll Questions

Add instructor feedback to a poll so students see explanations and context once it closes.

AI-generated feedback appears to students once a poll closes, giving them explanations for correct and incorrect answers, added context, and study resources.

You can write this feedback yourself or generate it with AI, then edit any part of it before saving.

Add Feedback to a Poll

Step 1 Click +New Activity

Step 2 Choose the Poll Question option

Step 3 Enter your questions and answer choices manually, or generate them with AI

Generate with AI and Create Manually options on the Configure & save step

Step 4 AI-generated content includes feedback automatically. Turn this off in Configuration if you don't want it

  • For manually entered content, click Leave Feedback to add it

Step 5 Click Save to save your feedback with the poll.

Once a poll includes feedback, its poll card shows a Feedback label. Students see the feedback after the poll closes.

Edit your Feedback

Step 1 Click the three-dot menu on the poll card

Step 2 Select Edit

Step 3 Click the feedback icon to open the feedback field

Step 4 Update the text as needed

Step 5 Click Save

You can edit feedback at any point, including after students have already responded and the poll has closed.
