How to Re-Open a Closed Poll for a Student

Allow students who missed class to re-take content inside CampusKnot.

Written by Amanda

Accidentally closed a poll too early or need to give students more time to respond? CampusKnot allows instructors to reopen closed polls so students can submit or update their answers.

✅ When You Can Re-open a Poll

You can re-open a poll only if:

  • The poll has already been closed.

  • It is not scheduled to close automatically at a future time.

  • The poll type supports extended submissions (all standard poll types do).

FAQs:

  • If a student has already submitted an answer, and there's a re-open opportunity, their original submission will not be deleted unless the student makes a new submission.

  • If a student has not submitted an answer, they'll have the opportunity to make a submission within the re-open duration set during editing.
