Accidentally closed a poll too early? or need to give students more time to respond? CampusKnot allows instructors to reopen closed polls so students can submit or update their answers.
✅ When You Can Re-open a Poll
You can re-open a poll only if:
- The poll has already been closed.
- It is not scheduled to close automatically at a future time.
- The poll type supports extended submissions (all standard poll types do).
🔄 Steps to Re-open a Poll
- Navigate to the Participation tab
- Inside the poll, click on the three dots located on the top right corner of your screen
3. Select the 're-open' option
4. Make sure you set a re-open 'Duration'
- Duration can be set to seconds, minutes, hours, or days
5. You can re-open content for a single student or all of them by clicking on the right square next to the name
⚠️ Things to Keep in Mind
- If a student has already submitted an answer, and there's a re-open opportunity, their original submission will not be deleted unless the student makes a new submission.
- If a student has not submitted an answer, they'll have the opportunity to make a submission within the re-open duration set during editing.
👀 Still Not Seeing the Option?
If the Re-open Poll option doesn’t appear:
- Double-check that the poll is actually closed
- Make sure the poll wasn’t scheduled to close in the future
- Refresh the page and try again
