What is an early check-in?
An early check-in lets you complete your weekly Carbon check-in up to two days before your scheduled day. It is designed for situations where you know your regular check-in day will not work, so you can log your weigh-in and keep your coaching data uninterrupted without missing a week. There are no coaching benefits to checking in early. It is purely a scheduling convenience.
When should you check in early on Carbon?
The most common reason to check in early is not having access to a scale on your scheduled day. Good reasons include traveling over a weekend without a scale, a schedule conflict on your normal check-in day, or a holiday that disrupts your routine.
If your schedule consistently clashes with your check-in day, changing your check-in day to one that fits your routine better is a more permanent solution.
Where to find your check-in in Carbon
Your check-in is located on the Coach tab. Carbon will prompt you when your check-in window opens. The early check-in prompt will not appear before day five of your current check-in period.
How to check in early on Carbon
Open the Coach tab and tap your check-in prompt once it becomes available
Log your current weight when prompted
Complete the rest of your check-in as normal
Carbon will process your data and update your targets for the new week immediately after you finish.
What if my early check-in window is not open yet?

Frequently asked questions about early check-ins on Carbon
How early can you check in on Carbon? You can check in up to two days before your scheduled check-in day, but no earlier than day five of your current check-in period. The app requires a minimum of five days between check-ins.
Does checking in early affect your macro targets? No. Your data is processed the same way it would be on your normal check-in day.
What happens to your check-in schedule after an early check-in? Your check-in day stays the same. Checking in early expands your next check-in window so it runs until your regularly scheduled day the following week.
Can you check in early every week? Yes, as long as at least five days have passed in each check-in period. If your schedule requires consistent flexibility, changing your check-in day is a better long-term solution.
