🧩 Understanding xAPI Courses in Carebility

Some courses in Carebility are called xAPI courses.
These courses are created and managed outside of Carebility but are hosted within your learning path. Because they’re interactive and more complex, they may behave a little differently than standard Carebility courses.

🎓 A list of current xAPI Courses:

  • What is Dementia: Etiology and Treatment

  • SharePoint Navigation 101

  • Facebook Expectations

  • Creative Solutions – Guided Care Portal

  • Hireology: From Applicant to Hire

  • Covr-Managing Staff, Scheduling, & Time Data

  • Ladder Safety

💡 Tips for Completing xAPI Courses

These courses require that all interactive steps be completed before you can move forward.

The Next or Submit button will not appear until every required item has been clicked. If you’re using a mobile device, you may see a checkmark instead of a Next or Submit button.

Be sure to click the blue “I’m Finished” button only after the entire course is fully complete.

Here’s what to look for:

Once every required interaction is finished, the embedded Check Mark Troubleshooting Interactive Course Issues in Carebility

Next or Submit button will activate so you can advance.

Things to look for:

  1. Complete any drag-and-drop activities or knowledge checks you see in the lesson.

  2. 🔒 Lock icon: This means the topic isn’t unlocked yet. You need to finish something else in the lesson before you can move to the next part.

  3. Look for the words “Click Here.” When you see this, it means you need to click that spot to keep moving through the lesson.

  4. If you see an item with a lock image, it usually means you need to finish that part before moving forward.

🚨 If You’re Stuck

If you’ve completed all interactions and the slide still won’t advance:

  • Take a screenshot and send it to us in the chat, and we’ll review it.

  • If you’re still having trouble, try taking the class on a computer or laptop. These courses are often easier to complete on a larger screen using a mouse.

  • To complete xAPI courses, you need to have an email address on file with Carebility. Your email is used as a unique identifier so the system can properly track and record your course progress.

How to Drag and Drop on different devices

These XAPI courses include drag-and-drop questions. Here’s how to complete them depending on the device you’re using:

🖥️ On a Computer (PC or Mac)

  1. Move your cursor over the item you want to drag.

  2. Click and hold the left mouse button or trackpad.

  3. While holding down, drag the item to the correct location.

    • Keep the mouse pressed the entire time.

  4. Release the mouse button to drop the item in place.

Tip: If it doesn’t move, try clicking and holding for a moment before dragging.

📱 On a Tablet (iPad, Android Tablet)

  1. Place your finger on the item you want to move.

  2. Press and hold for a second until the item “sticks.”

  3. Slide your finger to drag the item where it belongs.

  4. Lift your finger to drop it.

Tip: If the page scrolls instead of dragging, try pressing a little longer before moving your finger.

📱 On a Phone (iPhone or Android)

Dragging and dropping on a small screen can be tricky because the screen may scroll. Try this:

  1. Touch and hold the item for a moment.

  2. Once it activates, slowly drag it to the correct spot.

  3. Release your finger to drop it.

Tip: Zoom in if needed—this can make the drag area easier to hit.

🎉 If Drag and Drop Still Isn’t Working

  • Try rotating your device to landscape mode.

  • Zoom in or out to reduce scrolling.

  • Ensure your screen isn’t too sensitive (some phone cases interfere).

  • Refresh the page.

  • If possible, switch to a laptop or desktop device—drag and drop works most smoothly there.
