How to manage the appointment types available on your online scheduler

💡 If you haven't read How Donna Displays Available Times Online, it may be helpful to do so before proceeding with this article.

Reasons are the appointment types available to your patients from the Online Booking widget placed on your practice's website.

⚡ When naming your Reasons, use terms your patients will easily understand

During onboarding, you selected the appointment reasons your patients can book online. However, things change and you may want to add, delete, or edit those reasons in the future.

First, go to Account Settings > Reasons


To Add a New Reason

  1. Click Add New Reason

  2. In the Create New Reason pop-up window, enter the Name and Duration and click Save

To Delete an Existing Reason

  1. Select the existing reason you want to delete

  2. Click the trash can button to permanently delete the reason

💡Tip: To temporarily turn off a reason, you can disable them vs deleting them by enabling the Set as hidden toggle on the existing reason

  1. Select the reason you want to hide

  2. Under the Booking Widget Settings, slide the Set as hidden toggle to the right

  3. Remember to click Save!

To Edit an Existing Reason

  1. Select the reason you want to edit

  2. Click on the attribute you want to edit

  3. Enter your modification(s) and click Save

  4. You can also Edit the list of Practitioners Performing this reason by selecting or deselecting practitioners (which we have covered in another article)
